Registration and authorization of industrial chemicals under REACH<\/h2><\/h2><\/div>

Consultation on the REACH regulation is a key focus of our activities. The REACH Regulation specifies when and how manufacturers and importers must submit a registration for their chemicals. Furthermore, REACH also describes how hazardous substances are to be communicated and when authorization and restrictions on use are relevant. The transition period for the so-called phase-in substances has now ended. Therefore, the manufactured and imported ‘old’ substances should all be registered by now. The focus is now on the necessary updates to improve the quality of registrations and thus ensure compliance. Authorization of biocidal products<\/h2><\/h2><\/div>

Biocidal active substances and the biocidal products manufactured from them are a special class of chemicals, as they are subject to special regulatory requirements. These are regulated in the BPR. The authorization<\/a> of biocidal products is an essential prerequisite, which the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR, ECHA<\/a>) requires of every distributor of a biocidal product.
